Arthur Burk on the election results

Good word by Arthur Burk of Plumbline Ministries.  I really respect Arthur for his wisdom, knowledge, and revelatory insights.  Read it below!
----------------------

What happens to us is of little importance. How we respond to what happens to us is hugely indicative of who we are.

The church has broadly exposed its heart of idolatry by our response to the recent presidential election.

What is idolatry? God defines it very simply in Colossians 3:5.  "...greed, which is idolatry."

In other words, in Old Testament times when an Israelite man did not receive from Yahweh what he requested, he came to the conclusion that God couldn't or wouldn't give him those resources. He then had three choices: bring his lifestyle into alignment with the will of Yahweh, downsize his expectations, or turn to some idol to give him what he wanted.

We do the same. The Body of Christ has lived a highly compromised life. Our proclamations of love and loyalty on Sunday morning are effaced by our Monday through Saturday lifestyle.

Consequently God has withdrawn His favor on us in many, many areas.

Most believers have opted not to come into compliance. We have developed sundry militant theologies against downsizing our expectations. Therefore, idolatry is our only alternative.

We have learned to worship our social and economic expertise which gets us some of what we want.  We have also learned to look to the political process to insure a government that will facilitate our wants and wishes.

Now that the government is openly opposed to much of what the church holds dear, many Christians are in shock and are openly walking in fear. Their idolatry is exposed. The government of man, not the government of God was their basis for security.

The reality is that God's presence and power were not diminished one iota in the last election. He has a long track record of showing favor to righteous people.

Now that our idol has been exposed for its fickleness, why don't we renounce our faith in the twin idols of government and the economy, and start focusing on coming in to compliance with the heart of God and looking to Him for peace and provision?

Mahesh and Bonnie Chavda's word about the election results

Read it at the link below!  Mahesh and Bonnie are leaders of All Nations church in Fort Mill, SC, and leaders of The Watch of the Lord ministries.  They have logged so many "prayer miles" with their church for the US government over the years that I believe they have the insight and authority to speak to the Body of Christ regarding the elections.

Election Postscript: Obama wins, how he got there

By now we know that Obama has won the US presidential election, defeating McCain/Palin.  Here are 2 significant factor why Obama won.  One, he broke his promise on campaign finance (to raise a lot more $ than McCain) and accepted millions of dollars from illegal, untraceable donors.  Second, the polls were tremendously skewed in the weeks leading up to the election, to give the public the impression that more people were supporting Obama.  An example of this is in how the Associated Press (AP) changed its poll sample "recipe" to favor Obama weeks after the Republican National Convention.

Here is the video on CNN about Obama's broken promise on campaign finance.

Read the text article by Campbell Brown.

Read the article on how Obama's campaign admitted to accepting millions from illegal, untraceable donors.

And here is the article on how AP changed its poll sample between early September and late September to reflect more people for Obama.

Obama And Machete Politics

I received this article from Traditional Values Coalition.  Check it out!

Sen. Barack Obama’s Strange Friendship With His Cousin Raila Odinga,
The Marxist Kenyan Prime Minister

October 27, 2008Sen. Barack Obama campaigned on Marxist Kenyan Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s behalf in Kenya in 2006 and, with the help of the son of Libyan dictator Muammar Gadhafi, raised nearly $1 million for Odinga’s campaign. When Odinga lost his presidential election, he refused to accept the results and incited riots resulting in thousands being macheted to death or burned alive in their churches.
.A video shows Obama with Odinga at an HIV event – and it shows the aftermath of Odinga’s rioters destroying lives and property after the election loss.
Obama traveled throughout Kenya with Odinga and spoke on his behalf at numerous rallies, according to The Washington Times. During his speeches, Obama criticized Odinga’s opponent, President Mwai Kibaki. According to Obama: “The [Kenyan] people have to suffer over corruption perpetrated by government officials.” Obama took trips to Kenya at taxpayer expense in 2004, 2005, and 2006.
His trip in 2006 was also designed to help Odinga’s Orange Democratic Movement strategize how to defeat Kibaki. Obama was supposedly in Kenya on a HIV fact-finding trip as part of his official duties as a U.S. Senator. The American taxpayer footed the bill.
The Odinga-inspired rioting resulted in more than 1,000 people killed by machetes, shootings, or having the homes burned to the ground. At least 800 Christian churches were damaged from rampaging, machete-wielding Odinga supporters.
In one grisly killing spree, 50 Assembly of God members were locked in their church before it was set ablaze by Odinga supporters. Those fleeing were hacked to death by machetes.
Like Father, Like Son
.Raila Odinga is a committed Marxist who was educated in East Germany and named one of his sons “Fidel” after Fidel Castro. Odinga’s father, Oginga, served as Vice President of Kenya under Jomo Kenyatta’s presidency in the 1960s. Kenyatta formerly ran the Mau Mau, a terrorist group that ravaged that nation in the 1950s and killed countless white farmers. (Barack Obama, Sr. also served in the Kenyatta administration before he died in an alcohol-induced car crash in 1982. Obama, Sr. was a self-identified socialist.)
Time magazine in 1965 characterized Oginga Odinga as “openly attempting to turn the new nation toward Communism.”
His son, Raila Odinga ran for the presidency of Kenya in 2007 against rival Mwai Kibaki. He lost the election by at least 230,000 votes. In a strategy already worked out in advance, he then claimed voter fraud and incited riots that eventually took the lives of more than 1,000 people and displaced as many as 600,000 citizens.
Obama Campaigns For Odinga
.Barack Obama was deeply involved in campaigning for Odinga and even appointed a member of his Senate staff to stay in touch with the Odinga campaign. Emails from Obama to Odinga were obtained by author Jerome Corsi, through an anonymous source within the Orange Democratic Movement political party. They reveal that Obama had appointed Mark Lippert to be his contact with the Odinga campaign.
As noted above, a strategy was already in place to claim voter fraud. Jerome Corsi noted that this plan involved fomenting ethnic tensions and violence “as a last resort.” One element of the plan was to create tribal animosity between Odinga’s Luo tribe and the Kikuyu tribe of Mwai Kibaki.
.During his campaign for the presidency, Odinga reached an agreement with the minority population of Muslims to establish Shariah Law in that nation if elected president.
Eventually, United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan worked out a power-sharing deal with Kibaki and Odinga. He now serves as Prime Minister of Kenya.
“If Corsi’s information is correct, it is possible that Obama and Lippert broke federal law. No congressional aide should be placed at the disposal of a foreign individual campaigning for office overseas,” said TVC Executive Director Andrea Lafferty.

Obama Refuses to Answer Birth Certificate Lawsuit

A Pennsylvania lawsuit alleging that Barack Obama is not a “natural-born citizen” of the United States took an unusual twist this week, after a federally mandated deadline requiring Obama’s lawyers to produce a “vault” copy of his birth certificate expired with no response from Obama or his lawyers...

Draw the Line by Kimberly Daniels

White Christians can’t say this—and black preachers won’t touch the issue. But it’s time black Christians faced the reality about Barack Obama’s dangerous moral values.

by Kimberly Daniels

As a child in the 1960s I rode in the back of the bus. I was at the front of the riot lines in the 1970s, when I hit white boys on the head with bricks and dragged white girls down sidewalks near my school. I also experienced serious racism when I was an athlete in college.

I have been called the "N" word many times. I was taught to hate white people, and some of my relatives still call white people names such as "honky" and "cracker." But after I found Jesus, I was delivered from racism. I am free indeed!

"Regardless of political opinions, the Bible makes it clear: Those who support the homosexual agenda and the murder of unborn babies will be judged.”

The residue of my abuse has dried up at the root, and I am no longer a victim of what I call "ricochet racism." This occurs when the abused becomes the abuser.

Ricochet racism is a hellacious boomerang that grips the victim with pride and makes him think he has a right to hate. When I was saved, God taught me that I did not have a right to hate white people. Jesus nailed all my excuses to the cross, and I moved on.

Now that I am a born-again Christian, I do not consider my race to be my primary identity. I am a Christian first—before I am an African-American, a Democrat or a Republican. That's why I am troubled that so many African-American Christians are voting for Barack Obama simply because he is black.

If someone won't vote for a person because of race, we call this racism. But it is also racism when someone votes for a person because of his race!

Believe me, I would love to see a black brother in the White House—but not someone like Obama, who has embraced humanistic doctrines. Many white preachers are afraid to say this, and many black preachers won't touch it with a 10-foot pole.

I love Obama and pray for him and his family. But as Elijah troubled Ahab in Israel, I will challenge his views because they are dangerous to our religious liberties. It's time to draw the line.

Black Christians today need to put their faith first when they step into the voting booth. Does Obama represent godly values?

We know, for example, that he is an inclusionist. For 20 years he attended a church in Chicago that preaches that (1) Jesus is not the only way to God; (2) there is no hell; and (3) God will allow homosexuals to go to heaven even if they remain in their sinful state. Obama also has defended the killing of unborn babies, even in the third trimester.

He claims to be a Christian, but in his book The Audacity of Hope he calls the first chapter of Romans an "obscure" passage of Scripture. God's admonition about the sin of homosexuality is hardly obscure. It is very clear!

Jesus is the only way to God, and God will surely send homosexuals to hell if they do not turn from their ways and accept Christ—just as He will do for all other sinners who do not trust Jesus.

Regardless of political opinions, the Bible makes it clear: Those who support the homosexual agenda and the murder of unborn babies will be judged (see Rom. 1:32). These were the main issues in the days of ancient Israel, and they are critical issues today.

The pro-abortion movement is tied to the worship of two idols, Chemosh and Molech, the gods of child sacrifice. The movement toward gay marriage is rooted in the spirit of gameo, a Greek word that refers to same-sex marriage (see Matt. 24:38).

How can we vote for politicians who favor these ungodly movements? The Bible says we must separate ourselves from sin and wickedness. God is looking for faithful Christians who will not bow to the gods of this world.

I know what I am saying is not popular, and some people will denounce me for it. But I believe it is time to draw a line.

Believers can no longer make excuses by pulling their race cards, leaning on their lukewarm denominational rules or hiding under the covering of a political party. If we want America to recover, we must repent. We must choose the right side.

We must stand strong for what we believe and hold our ground. We must declare, as Joshua did, "Whoever is on God's side ... stand with me!"

Clarification: Palin did not bill state for "lodging" at her home.

There has been rumors and false reports circulating that Sarah Palin charged the state of Alaska for every night she stayed at her home in Wasilla instead of the governor's mansion.  That did not happen.

Sarah Palin's canceled speech about Iran published in NY Sun

Caroline Glick - Sep 22, 2008
The Jerusalem Post

American Jews have good reason to be ashamed and angry today. As Iran moves into the final stages of its nuclear weapons development program - nuclear weapons which it will use to destroy the State of Israel, endanger Jews around the world and cow the United States of America - Democratic American Jewish leaders decided that putting Sen. Barack Obama in the White House is more important than protecting the lives of the Jewish people in Israel and around the world.

On Monday, the New York Sun published the speech that Republican vice presidential nominee and Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin would have delivered at that day's rally outside UN headquarters in New York against Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and against Iran's plan to destroy Israel. She would have delivered it, if she hadn't been dis-invited.

The rally was co-sponsored by the Conference of Presidents of Major Jewish Organizations, the National Coalition to Stop Iran Now, The Israel Project, United Jewish Communities, the UJA-Federation of New York and the Jewish Council for Public Affairs. Its purpose was to present a united American Jewish front against Iran's genocidal leader and against its genocidal regime which is developing nuclear weapons with the stated intention of committing the seco
nd Holocaust in 80 years.

Palin's speech is an extraordinary document. In its opening paragraph she made clear that Iran presents a danger not just to Israel, but to the US. And not just to some Americans, but to all Americans. Her speech was a warning to Iran - and anyone else who was listening - that Americans are not indifferent to its behavior, its genocidal ideology and the barbarity of its regime...
