A couple photos from The Call CA!

It was an honor to be there in San Diego last Saturday to battle with the finest prayer warriors in the Body of Christ! Lou Engle, the leader of The Call, exhorted all to go on a 3 day Esther fast. Tons of people are fasting right now. God, let your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven!

Prayer for Sarah Palin by Katie Fitzpatrick

I'm back in the Seattle area now, after the last several days in California (including being at The Call CA).  Due to my schedule this past weekend, I was not able to blog, but it was also good for me to take a break from it as well.  Now that I'm back, let's pray strong to the very end!

Below is a prayer I received from Katie Fitzpatrick, the leader of a Facebook Sarah Palin prayer group.  It's good, let's pray through!

Please pray with me.

Father, we thank you that we can trust you with all of our hearts and lean not on our own understanding. We just say that in all our ways we acknowledge you so that you will make our paths straight. We just cry out for that for Sarah right now in the name above all names, Jesus. The author and perfecter of our faith. We just say, make her path straight, right now oh God. Lord, you told us to cast all our anxiety on you because you care for us. We do that right now, we just cast all our concerns about the election to you right now, you are on the throne Lord God and you see all, hear all and know all!!! We ask that you would continually be known to Sarah right now that she would cast her anxieties on you in this time and always to make her burden that which you designed for it to be.

Lord, that you would bless Sarah INDEED! Exceedingly, abundantly above ALL that she could ever ask, think or imagine. That you would ENLARGE her territory, now especially in this election, but at work, at home, at church and in your church at large. That your hand would be upon her at all times and in all places. That your mantle of favour would be upon her at all times and in all places. That she would be received in favour with EVERYONE that she comes in contact with, especially right now with the voters and people of this GREAT nation. That you would keep her safe and free from harm, that you would keep her from evil and keep evil far from her, that she might not cause anyone any pain.

Lord, do a work tonight and tomorrow in the hearts and minds of the people. Provide dreams and visions. Clear direction as to how to vote!!!! Lord, make a way, for righteousness, for YOUR name's sake!!! Help us Lord, we cry out for mercy, we want those over us to be seeking YOU in ALL they say and do.

Rejoice in the Lord always, I say it again, REJOICE! Let your gentleness be evident to all, the Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in EVERYTHING, by prayer and petition, WITH THANKSGIVING, present your requests to God. And the peace of God which transcends ALL understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Lord, have mercy on us. We are in AWE of you and your faithfulness.
Lord, grant these requests we pray. Let it be done according to your will. We THANK you right now for all you are doing and are going to do for you are a mighty, awesome and powerful GOD. Most of all we thank you right now and we just say that we AGREE with you for the call of God on Sarah Palin's life.

Bless you Lord, in Jesus' name we pray, AMEN!

Blessed Is the Nation Whose God Is The Lord: Sylvia Gunter prayer devotional

Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord,
the people he chose for his inheritance.
Blessed are the people whose God is the Lord.
Psalm 33:12, 144:15.

When we sing "God Bless America," we are singing a blessing on this country. Can we ask God to bless this nation in its present state of heart and soul? Can we ask God to bless us while we murder unborn babies, make merchandise of alcohol, drugs, and pornography, idolize over-paid sports heroes, and totter dangerously close to the edge of violence and anarchy?

We can pray for us to be a nation that is blessable by God. Pray that God will do what only He can do: change the hearts of kings (decision-makers in all areas of our economy and government) to follow after Him and His word. Let's pray this especially for the four who are running for the office of president and vice-president, because two of the four will surely be our leaders for at least four years, regardless of whether you vote red or blue. Let's pray this for all those in authority: Cabinet members, Senators and Congressmen, Wall Street, bank Presidents, oil company presidents, local officials, and candidates for office. We need a revolution of blessedness in those in authority.

Pray these "blessed" descriptions of godly leaders.

Lord, give us men and women who...

Do not walk in counsel of ungodly. Psalm 1:1-2
Delight in the law of God and meditate on it.
Psalm 112:1

Take refuge in the Lord. Psalm 34:8
Know that their transgressions are forgiven, sins are covered and not counted against
them, and in whom there is no deceit
. Psalm 32:1-2

Are generous and lend freely. Psalm 37:26
Trust in the Lord. Psalm 40:4
Do not look to the proud, nor turn aside to false gods. Psalm 40:4
Have regard for the weak. Psalm 41:1
Come near to Him for praise and worship. Psalm 65:4
Walk in the presence of God. Psalm 84:4
Know that God is the source of their strength. Psalm 84:5,7
Who are going on with God. Psalm 84:5
Acclaim God, publicly praise Him. Psalm 89:15, 84:14
Receive the discipline of the Lord and learn from it. Psalm 94:12
Maintain justice and do what is right. Psalm 106:3
Recognize that their provision comes from God. Psalm 107:38
Fear the Lord. Psalm 112:1
Are the generation of the upright. Psalm 112:2.
Come in the name of the Lord. Psalm 118:26
Whose ways are blameless. Psalm 119:1
Walk in God's way. Psalm 119:1, Psalm 128:1
Keep His laws. Psalm 119:2
Seek Him with all their heart. Psalm 119:2
Treat children as blessed. Psalm 127:3,5
Whose help and hope is the God of Jacob. Psalm 146:5.

For the next week, bless the spirits of men and women of influence in the political and economic arena to fit the profile of those who are blessed of the Lord.

Video: Women praying for Sarah Palin!

Watch this report!

After reading the blog (moms4sarahpalin.blogspot.com) mentioned in the CNN video, the author of the blog pointed out that CNN didn't show what they said about how Sarah had substance over style. It's interesting how CNN edited the video to show them talking about Sarah's style and didn't show them saying things Sarah's substance. We know that CNN is liberal and so we shouldn't be surprised at how they edited this report.

Prayer Devotional from Sylvia Gunter

I just received this e-devotional from Sylvia Gunter this morning.  What a timely word!  Read below.  God can shift this election towards righteousness just as He did in India, when the church prayed!

Praying For God
To Call Out Intercessors For Our Nation

                        Praying for the Upcoming Election

Patrick Joshua is the Director of the National Prayer Network and a father figure to the prayer movement in India. Because of a special burden for our nation, he visited the United States twice in recent months. Patrick believes the U.S. is at a very critical time in history, the impact of which will be felt around the world.

During his visits, Patrick told the story of God's intervention in India in 2004, in response to the fervent, united prayers of His people. At that time, political forces had mobilized with the intention of turning their nation in a direction that would make it almost impossible for Christians to share or practice their faith. Those forces had the momentum and the numbers as the Christian population in India is a minority, by some estimates representing only 6% of the 1.1 billion people in the nation.

The situation was desperate. Many thought it was impossible. So they turned to the God of the impossible and began to pray. In cities and states across their nation, a movement of united, fervent prayer arose, but with a unique focus. They weren't praying for particular candidates or political parties. Instead they were praying for the person of righteousness, the person of God's choosing, to be elected in every elected office.

Right up until the day of the election every poll and pundit predicted the election would be a landslide for those who were opposed to the gospel. When the votes were counted, however, the results revealed a different story. In district after district those candidates and political allies who opposed the gospel had been soundly defeated. At a national level they were out of power. The press and the pundits were stunned. No one saw it coming.

So what happened? It seems God heard the cries of His people and touched the hearts of the voters as they went into the voting booths. Some believe a corporate conviction came upon the people and they voted for the person of righteous, the person of God's choosing. This was seen most dramatically in the states and regions where prayer was the most concentrated and fervent. In one of those states, laws that restricted the advance of the gospel were immediately repealed.

This is a very hopeful report about what God did in the elections in India. While our situation is different, we are at a critical crossroad.  He can do this in our nation too if we will PRAY!

For the next three weeks we will be praying for righteous men to rule righteously in our nation, starting with this prayer for God to wake up his people to pray. I bless you to let God to wake up the intercessor
in you.

Hear God's Word. I have posted watchmen on Your walls, O Jerusalem; they will never be silent day or night. You who call on the Lord, Give yourselves no rest, and give Him no rest till He establishes Jerusalem and makes her the praise of the earth. Isaiah 62:6-7

Our Father, our Lord, bless intercessors who have stood as watchmen at their posts unseen and unsung in the hidden work of prayer. You appointed and anointed them by Your Spirit of grace and supplication for the authority they have wielded in standing in the gap between Your holy hand and the judgment that the sins of our nation deserve. Strengthen the hands of these intercessors with patient endurance and with Aarons and Hurs to come alongside (Exo. 17:10- 13).

Release and reappoint those who have been discouraged, distracted, or disillusioned by inordinate attacks on their body, soul, or spirit, or on their families or finances. Come, our Helper Holy Spirit, to the praying ones who have been robbed and beaten up. Pour the oil of Your Spirit on these wounded soldiers, take them up, and restore them to wholeness and health and to their gifting and calling in intercession.

Awake new intercessors in Your church that has been disinterested and lazy. Let us receive new mantles of intercession and hear Your appointment to our posts in prayer. By the Spirit of Christ Jesus, who ever lives to intercede, impregnate the hearts of every believer with the Spirit of prayer as simple obedience to the commands of God's Word to pray without ceasing and to pray for those in authority. Appoint new intercessors and birth in them a holy desperation for prayer until we see You answer and You show us great and mighty things we have never seen.

Raise up intercessors who will ...

Respond to Your call in humility and holiness.
Respond to Your call to pray in the fear of the Lord.
Pray with grateful hearts of thanksgiving with their eyes on You.
Petition the God of the Impossible.
Pray with You, not just to You, "Your Kingdom come, Your will be done.
Ask our Father, our King, to have mercy and redeem and show us Your glory in the sight of all nations.
Let this be a trumpet call, as Nehemiah said, "The work is extensive and spread out. Whenever you hear the sound of the trumpet, join us there. Our God will fight for us. Remember the Lord who is great and awesome" (Neh: 4:17,20).
Holy Spirit, touch Your church.
            Turn our hearts to You.
Stir our hearts to pray as never before.
Show us Your glory.

Pray Psalm 33:18-20 over Sarah and the election!

Let the lying lips be put to silence, which speak insolent things proudly and contemptuously against the righteous.

Oh, how great is Your goodness,
Which You have laid up for those who fear You,

Which You have prepared for those who trust in You
In the presence of the sons of men!

You shall hide them in the secret place of Your presence
         From the plots of man;
You shall keep them secretly in a pavilion
         From the strife of tongues.

Pray these powerful Scriptures over Sarah.  Amen!

Pray for McCain in debate tonight!

Tonight is the 2nd debate between McCain and Obama.  Pray that God would give McCain wisdom and knowledge in answering the questions and addressing the critical issues that are facing our nation today.  And pray for the anointing and favor of God to be upon McCain with the nation watching.

Pray for the viewers to have godly discernment and being able to distinguish between what is truth and what is false, what is good from from what is evil, and what is right from what is wrong.  I pray for wisdom and understanding in the American people, both now and from now until the election!  I pray that the American public would not be deceived or fooled by any distortion that the media is presenting and spewing out.

I pray for God-fearing, fair, and righteous coverage in the media, from CNN, to ABC, to CBS, to NBC, to MSNBC, to Fox News, and all the local TV stations covering politics and the presidential election.  I pray for righteous, LIFE, God-fearing leaders to be elected in America this November.  God, we thank You in advance for what you are going to do!

Video & Message from Lou Engle

Urgent Summons to California - A Message from Lou Engle:

Dear Friends of TheCall,

Once again, as you know, we are in a moment of extraordinary crisis in America. These elections will shape the future of our nation for the next 40 years. The future of millions of unborn children and wounded mothers is at stake. The judges that will be appointed by the next president will help determine whether or not America will fully turn away from the fixed moral standards of God’s loving laws.

If that were not enough, California has now legalized same-sex marriage and the implications of this ruling are so far-reaching that it demands an immediate and urgent response from the church. I am emailing our entire email list this most profound video describing a true incident that has taken place in Massachusetts, the only other state that has legalized same-sex marriage. When you watch it, you will understand that we are in a spiritual battle that calls for desperate fasting and prayer.

On November 1, we are summoning the church from across California and the nation to gather together in united fasting and prayer at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego to take a stand for marriage in California.

As California goes, in many ways, so goes the nation. A major prayer leader from Egypt spoke to me and said that he had been weeping over California because he knew that if this law is not reversed by the vote of Californians on November 4, a spirit will spread across the world that will be stronger than Islam. It is a spirit of lawlessness, and that spirit will affect every nation. He said, “Lou, please call the whole world to pray for California on November 1 through God TV.”

My brothers and sisters, many of my friends are saying that TheCall California will be the most significant Call we have ever done. It is not just about California—it is about the whole nation.

I am appealing to you who have stood by TheCall these years to drop everything to come to Qualcomm Stadium and join this mighty prayer battle that is going on. Nehemiah, in a time of spiritual warfare said, “We are widely divided along this wall, when you hear the sound of the trumpet, gather to me there, and there the Lord will fight for us.” There are certain spiritual powers of darkness that will not be restrained unless we are willing to gather. God promises if we will do that, He will fight for us. “This kind does not come out but by prayer and fasting.”

Please do not skip over this email lightly right now. Please, watch the video now and be stirred to take a stand.

Consumed by TheCall,

Lou Engle

Video: The Call California

Watch, fast, and pray!  And be there in San Diego on Nov 1st to be a part of this historic moment in America.  I'll be there.
